Our Beginnings...

This web site originated as an idea for a Newsletter several years ago while the editor  began to put the finishing touches on a book planned for publication under the title "Are we Fishers of Men or Live Bait"? It was from the description of the Church in dominion as described by Albert J. Dager in his book "Vengeance Is Ours" and John E. Ashbrook’s "New Neutralism II: "Exposing the Gray of Compromise" that the influences of New Evangelicalism and the Charismatic dominionist movement were seen as not only pervasive as a false doctrine having found it's way into many Evangelical Churches, but a blatant counterfeit of the truth disguised as a new movement of the Holy Spirit, combined with the Apostolic signs and wonders as those of the Kingdom gospel which were valid during the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ.

For many neo-evangelicals these false teachings created not just a shipwrecked faith, but the Word of God began to be questioned by so called scholars and a re-examination of the "gospel" by non dispensational post modernists, all but eliminated the rightly divided dispensational understanding of the Word of God from the teachings from the Pulpit and the Seminary.

What really was happening to many churches and denominations that left unchecked the ministries of many false teachers that were allowed to come into the sheep-fold unchallenged, was the Apostasy that the Word of God clearly outlines which would be the condition of the "Church" in the last days. (See Introduction to the new Title for the book- "Not Afraid To Tell the Truth" the Laodicean Church age, of (Rev 3:15-16)  nauseating, lukewarm, ready to be spewed out of Christ's mouth.

"Not Afraid To Tell the Truth" is being reformatted into one large book of Six sections with multiple chapters and is the authors attempt to restore the "dispensational safety net" to Bible believing Churches and members of the "Body of Christ" that have become confused by false or deceived teachers and the growing numbers of anti-dispensationalists that have come in among the true brethren unawares, ignorant of the Believer's present heavenly  position in the risen, ascended, and glorified Lord Jesus Christ. These teachers by not having rightly divided the Word of Truth have come in to many Evangelical Churches teaching the principles of the gospel of the Kingdom and not the gospel of the Grace of God as delivered to the Apostle Paul which are the directed teachings for the Church in this age of Grace. (1 Cor. 15: 3-5).

The overview of the main sections of the book describe the problem of Apostasy in the last days of the Church age as taken from (Rev. 3:15-17).

Six Sections multiple Chapters

Section 1. Wretched  To explore how and why we the "Church", the Bride of Christ have become confused by present day preaching that ignores or is insensitive to a dispensational understanding of the word of God, and consequently why many are confused about the nation Israel and the Bride of Christ (The Church). Along with misunderstandings of the time divisions of the Bible, many are confused as well about Law & Grace. Are we still under some of each?

Section 2. Pitiful Explore why discipleship has become an over used term and yet why it's neglect has essentially produced practical Atheists among the saved, who uncertain in the beginning of their Christian walk about who they where not in Christ, are now hopelessly scrambled in their thinking about what is required of them who are now in Christ as mature Believers during these last days. (As the word says, many will follow the pernicious ways of false teachers who will creep into the Church unawares (2 Peter 2:1-4)

Section 3. Poor Discover what is the "captivity" which the "Church" today has fallen prey to. Is it the amalgamation of man's wisdom with the word of God? Is it what the late Dr. J. Vernon McGee described as being "the ruination of the Church" in his article titled Psycho- Religion "The New Pied Piper" Modern Psychology ? "Christian Psychotherapy"  has infiltrated much of what we are presently calling "Christian Psychology", and "Christian Counseling"? How do we get out from this present darkness, along with the failure of not correctly understanding the doctrine of the depravity of the human heart because of the fall of Adam and our own sin? (Rom 5:12,14,16-18)

Section 4. Blind Explore from the word of God what is the difference between Disciples and Witnesses, between preaching the Gospel of Reconciliation and the Great Commission as given to the Disciples to accomplish, getting a clear perspective of the Heavenly Kingdom now and the Earthly Kingdom to come. The doctrine of "Last Things" and how God meant for us to carry out the work of proclaiming the Gospel and being His witnesses in these last days.

Section 5. Naked The final aspect of setting the record straight will be a look at the true from the false in modern "contemporary" Christian society, and a relief from the Illusion that many believers today still think is true of America as being a "Christian Nation", or that we are "One Nation Under God"... and the strong tendency towards Reconstructionist & Dominion (Kingdom Now) Theology as the supposed goals for the Church in the World as we (hasten) the Lords' return.

Section 6. Remedy Left standing by itself the forgoing state of affairs would look rather bleak if not for the admonition of our Lord in Revelation 3:18-19, " I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see." (In other words become real, be the genuine article; instead of making us "Fishers of Men", allow God The Holy Spirit to make us examples of "Living Truth", as we become conformed to the image of Jesus Christ in our sanctification and present to all those who will believe on The Lord Jesus Christ and be saved, a whole person who is complete in the righteousness of Christ).

13 Contrasting Themes Covered In Six Sections:

Dispensationalism/Covenant Theology, Israel/Church, Law/Grace, Disciples/Witnesses,
Prayer(God's Word)/Objective vs. Subjective, Sound Doctrine/False Teachings, Spirit of
Truth/Spirit of Error, Great Commission Gospel/Gospel of Reconciliation, Heavenly
Kingdom/Earthly Kingdom, America/True or False, Spiritual Warfare/Spiritual Growth,

From Gary Cohen's Book, "Understanding Revelation" (Christian Beacon Press, Inc. Moody Press Edition, 1978). A description of the Church at Laodicea and the Laodicean era is summarized as follows:

1. Laodicea stands for the final day when standards are determined by the "judgment of the people" in an effort to offend no one, thus yielding "democracy in religion" and a consequent nauseating lukewarmness.

2. Although this view that Laodicea represents a Church age, not necessarily the Church at Laodicea is not altogether agreed upon by biblical historical interpreters. However many advocates of the Church age theory are in agreement in contrast with the Book of Revelation since the content and context seems to indicate a strong basis behind the view.

3. The fact that the Apocalypse is preeminently a book of prophecy, (Rev. 1:3, Rev. 22:18), the words and symbols make the uncovering of truth a prophetical sense, and as the letters to the seven churches are examined, the events described cannot be thought of as strange or unusual.

4. Opponents to the view held by this writer and others can be viewed as an objection on the basis that the doctrine of the imminent return of Christ is destroyed by a seven divisions or periods, not the seven churches view. The doctrine of the imminent return is not destroyed if one remembers that no one could see all seven divisions except possibly those alive after the final division had been in progress for some time, and to those the coming would still be imminent as Christ could be expected by them to come at any moment. Thus a person alive at AD. 150 could not boldly say, "I am living in the Smyrna period and therefore Christ cannot come now", for without our present historical perspective of two thousand years and without the infallible mind and eyes of God, this person would have no way of being certain that he was not living in AD. 150 in the last days of the Laodicean period. The prophetic view merely declares that whenever the Lord comes, had it been in AD. 150 or whether it be in AD. 2150, all seven stages will by then have transpired.

5. There was never any biblical commitment that required that the inter advent age be extended for it's present two millennia, so there was never anything to prevent the seven periods from taking place in seven hundred years, seventy years, or even seven years if the plan of God had so arranged events. Thus the understanding of the seven churches here at issue, does not do away in any sense with the immanency of the blessed hope of the church, Christ's soon return.

In conclusion, the churches as described seem to be historical, representative, and prophetical. However because of the nature of the case, this conclusion cannot be made with the same dogmatism that is characteristic of the enunciation of other more fundamental scriptural truths. There are other objections to and surrounding the taking of the seven churches to mean seven periods of the church age, but the reader would be better informed to read Gary Choen's book "Understanding Revelation" and decide for himself.

Refer to Section one of Chapter 1 for references for a further understanding of dispensational divisions, in contrast to periods of certain activity taking place within and throughout an historical dispensation or time period division. Finally, if you have read this far, and are not a Christian, please do not attempt to understand the book, "Not afraid to Tell the Truth". Go now to Appendix (A) read and heed the simple plan of salvation, examine the documentation, read and refer to the Bible verses, pray that the Holy Spirit will remove the veil of unbelief that Satan has placed over your mind & heart, believe the Gospel by faith, confess that you know your are a sinner, that you believe that Jesus died on the cross for your sins and paid the full peanility for your redemption by the shedding of his sinless blood. Receive Jesus Christ as your Saviour today!
